| Report On Inauguration Of The Learning Centre At SOS Children's Village, Bawana. |

The SOS Children's Villages of India is a non-profit, non-government, voluntary organization, committed to the care of children in need. The aim and objective of the SOS Children's Villages of India is to help orphaned and homeless children by giving them a family, home and a strong foundation for an independent and secure life.
Mitsui and Co. India Pvt. Ltd has associated itself with SOS Children's Village, Bawana. Besides assuming the responsibility of a family's education Mitsui has contributed INR 1,200,000 for the construction of a Learning Centre in the Village. |  |
Mr. T Miyachi, Ex-CEO of SW Asia, inaugurated the Learning Centre on 11 Jan 2006. Mrs. Miyachi also graced the occasion with her presence. In addition Mr. T Kawagishi, Director Corporate Planning and Chief Administrative Officer and many senior managers from the New Delhi Head Office of Mitsui India were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Mr. J N Kaul, the national president of SOS Villages, India blessed the children on the occasion. The Learning Centre will be a valuable educational facility for the children of the Village. This Learning Centre consists of a computer room, a library, and a music and dance room. These will surely be additional tools for the growth and development of the children at the SOS Village.
The children exhibited plenty of enthusiasm and excitement for the learning centre especially the computer room. The music room will help nurture creativity and hopefully develop an aesthetic sense in these little angels.
The children of the Village presented a lively and colourful dance on the occasion. |
